Introducing 101bible.com — About This Bible Study Website
I've been a Christian since 1992 and whilst I can rattle off scriptures easily enough when the situation requests a verse on a particular topic — I can hardly ever tell you where the actual verse resides which is always embarrassing – because as I can’t tell you where it it lives I might as well have made it up — and then have to spend a good ten minutes trying to find it, sometimes only coming across it days or weeks later by accident! Anyway — suffice to say, my pride and my curiosity have got the better of me and I feel it's about time I had a more thorough knowledge of the Bible, it's stories, verses and meanings.
It's always baffled me how my memory of the words or particular truth is fine, but where it says it — well I couldn't begin to tell you where I read that! I want to make a proper study of the Bible and get a basic but good overview of each book, plus an idea of how all the books and prophecies fit together.

So — this Bible study web site is our own attempt to get to grips with the books and placement of particular verses and stories. It's a purely amateur affair but being an online Bible study, it also means wherever I am, I can logon and remind myself of a particular Bible verse or sequence. I’ve actually learnt all the Books of the Bible by name and in the right order‼
If you've come across this Bible study site by chance then I hope it is of some use to you too As I mentioned above, I am trying to learn the order of Biblical events first. The deeper meanings will come in time but I have found that if I can get the basic framework of a thing in my memory (very much like learning a musical passage) — learning the truths and the relative meanings becomes a whole lot easier and more fun.
